    Chapter One

Alby Martin looked up at the bright orange sun, its warm rays filling him with happiness on this beautiful day. Although it was now fall, he could feel that summer had not completely left, and this was one of those days. The park close to his university was generally busy during breaks from lectures and tutorials, students making it their hub. Sitting under the sun in the large, grassy park, Alby needed a spot of spontaneity. As the humidity was making him sweat, he took off his t-shirt, leaving it next to him on the picnic mat, and sat bare-chested.

Taking his e-reader in hand, he was oblivious to the stares and admiration of the young women at the park. Alby then ditched his reader, as the sun was making itself felt, and opened his bag, taking out a bottle of sunscreen. Rubbing it on his chest, arms, and shoulders, he looked up, and saw a bevy of young women watching his every move. Seeing their reactions, Alby threw his head back and gave them a huge smile, which broke up the steamy mood for them. After this, they turned away from him, with some leaving, and others continuing to study.

Alby placed the bottle of sunblock on the picnic rug, and took the cleansing wipes out of his bag. He quickly washed his hands, scrunching the wipe, and leaving it in a pocket. He turned his head and saw the remaining young women eyeing him carefully, and winked at them, to which they giggled. Alby threw them a cheeky grin, and again picked up his e-reader, wanting to finish the page he was last on. Just starting to read again, Alby noticed a pair of trousered legs walking towards him, and the person was wearing high heels. Alby raised his head, and when he saw who it was, a strange sensation immediately flooded his stomach.

    Hello Mrs Chalmers.

"Hello, Alby, Mrs Chalmers said, eyes roaming over his chest, as he squinted at her. How…are you?"

Alby smiled, and shook his head, as the young women behind viewed the scene with heightened interest.

    I’m well, how are you?

Mrs Chalmers smiled at him, and took another long look at Alby’s chest, her eyes meeting his after what seemed an eternity to Alby.

Now that I’ve seen you I feel so much…better. Anyway, a young man like yourself… should take care of your skin. Would you like me to… Mrs Chalmers said, eyes closing for a moment, before opening again, apply some lotion on your…body? she said, seeing the bottle next to Alby.

Alby peered up at her, shaking his head.

No thanks, done that Mrs Chalmers, Alby said, as she scowled slightly at his response. She noticed the young women behind observing her with skepticism, and returned her gaze to Alby, puffing her lips.

I’d…better go, Mrs Chalmers said, her eyes expressing embarrassment as she hightailed it away from Alby, and the park. Alby sat in silence, and turned to see whether she had disappeared. He then heard laughing from the young women behind him, and twisted his head to face them.

What? Alby asked, shrugging his shoulders.

She’s got the hots for you…hot to trot cougar, one of the girls said, as the others chortled. That tight hair bun belies a life of pleasure waiting for someone.

I bet if she found you alone she’d try to get you into bed…this Mrs Chalmers is one man-eater with good taste, another said, poking her tongue at Alby, who shook his head.

"Oh, your mind’s always on sex, isn’t there more to think about than that?" Alby said, as another girl responded with

No, as Alby laughed, rolling his eyes at their shenanigans. Mrs Chalmers was a little on the weird side as her husband had died and she never re-married, and often did this to Alby, but he never thought she would go further in pursuing him. Since he and his mom had moved to the state after his dad’s death, Mrs Chalmers had been a nice, if somewhat strange neighbor. She would always be helpful and courteous, but Alby’s mom never really gave her the time of day, as she found her slightly off-kilter. Wanting to take his mind away from Mrs Chalmers, Alby rose from the grass, gathering his things. After doing this, Alby packed up his picnic rug, shaking it, the leaves falling from it, and folded it before placing in his bag. Taking his bag in hand, he smirked at the young women from before, and said

    Bye girls.

Bye hunky hunk, one girl said, as Alby threw his hands in the air, the
