About this ebook

You will love this exclusive collection of really delicious, simple, quick and easy paleo recipes!

Basically, what the Paleo Diet proposes is eating like our ancestors – well, not like our parents or grandparents, but like our ancestors way back in the Paleolithic times.

According to this diet plan we should only choose foods that were supposedly available for our ancestors more than one million years ago: vegetables (except potatoes), fruits, nuts, roots, fish and other seafood, eggs, meat and organ meats. Grains, dairy, alcohol, coffee, white sugar and any chemically-processed foods are theoretically excluded.

For example, we could start our day having some fruit, then have a grilled pork steak and artichokes for lunch, while salmon and avocado would make up our dinner. Fresh and dried fruit and berries, nuts, light vegetables or quail eggs are good for snacking on.

The benefits of the Paleo Diet are evident: healthy calories received from natural and organic products will make you feel full and energized.

    PREFACE

    ––––––––

In recent decades, during which healthy eating and living has become so popular in the world, people have created different theories about what constitutes a healthy diet. One of them is the Paleo Diet. Known also as a caveman diet, this style of eating is mainly based on consuming organic products available in nature. Let’s find out more about it.

Basically, what the Paleo Diet proposes is eating like our ancestors – well, not like our parents or grandparents, but like our ancestors way back in the Paleolithic times. This idea  was put forward by Walter Voegtlin in 1975, and it has been made really popular around the world since the book The Paleo Diet, by Loren Cordain, was published in 2002.

Due to the low level of knowledge regarding the ration of humans living during the Paleolithic era, the content of the diet will vary depending on who you ask.

The most extreme versions of the Paleo Diet deny the use of any oil or salt, but, as you might have noticed, for an average modern person it’s hardly possible to enjoy eating anything without any salt or oil at all, so these restrictions have been removed from some of the recent versions of the diet.

We do not recommend any tinned or canned food for this diet plan. Also, please remember that any chemically processed food is absolutely forbidden, even if it’s made from products allowed in the diet.

The benefits of the Paleolithic diet are evident: healthy calories received from natural and organic products will make you feel full and energized.
