About this ebook
Have you ever wondered why Christians are called to share the Gospel and spread salvation's message to the unsaved people of this world?
God does not wish for any of His children to be confused or frustrated. Instead, He has provided a straight and narrow path for Christians to follow that provides opportunities for seeing the lost welcomed into the family of Christ.
In Why We Win Souls, Dr. Shelton Smith and Dr. Jim Norton show from God's Word how that winning souls is not only a responsibility but also a privilege.

Why We Win Souls - Dr. Jim Norton
Introduction
Sometime in the mid 1980s, I walked out of my office onto the parking lot at my church in Westminster, Maryland, just in time to see a man getting out of his car. He quickly introduced himself as Jim Norton, a missionary to Japan.
I chatted with him for a few minutes before we both went on our way.
Little did I realize at that moment what a Christian giant I had met. I also had no idea that those few quick moments would soon blossom into a great friendship.
In 1998 Jim invited me to come to Japan. I agreed to go, and he scheduled three full weeks of meetings.
When I landed at Narita International Airport in Tokyo, he met me as I walked off the plane. After greetings, we agreed that we were not going to be focused on sightseeing but that we were going to be at the Lord’s business every day.
He and I right then and there got on our knees in that bustling airport and prayed aloud that the Lord would give us great meetings and give us souls for our labors. We were soon to see the fruit we desired and experience eighteen days of incredible blessing.
Sometime in 2009, Jim sent me this outline entitled Thirty-Five Incontrovertible Reasons Why We Should Win Souls to Christ and asked of my interest to publish it. We agreed that I should write some comments on each of his points, which I have finally gotten around to getting done.
Jim Norton was a dear friend and one of the very best personal soul winners I’ve ever known. He was always at it wherever he went. Both in Japan and here in America, he and I saw dozens of people saved as we labored together.
When I was in Japan, there were precious people in every city where I preached who said to me, Jim Norton led me to Christ.
In 2013 at age eighty-six, this dear man of God and my fellow laborer in the Lord’s vineyard finished his earthly journey and graduated to Heaven.
Now it is my earnest expectation that what
