Introduction
However much we like reading adventure stories, where the hero is lost in the desert, and he knows that he has to use his own creativity or the imagination of the writer in order to survive, many of us cannot think of a scenario when we may find ourselves in a situation where we need to find water.
Nevertheless, this book is going to tell you all about the ways and means in which you can find water, which is of course the most important resource for survival, now that the 21st-century has reached the stage of natural disasters every year, thanks to climatic changes, and human beings fiddling with the natural ecological makeup of Mother Nature.
Either keep this book with you, when you go out hiking in the desert or in the woods, or just put it on your e-book reader to be browsed through, when your city has been subjected to Typhoon Tanya or hurricane Harriet or Earthquake Edwina and you are caught outside in an alien atmosphere.
One hopes that one does not find oneself in that condition, but being an ostrich in the 21st century is the easiest way to be called a typical helpless excuse for a human being who cannot and will not accept reality but prefers living in a 'that cannot happen to me' dream world.
Unfortunately, there are a number of us out there, who belong to this category. An earthquake is always going to happen somewhere in Japan. A hurricane is always going to happen in coastal regions, far away from you. A typhoon, what is that, no question of it happening in your area, because nobody heard of that word ever in your city.
