Matter, Gravity and Dark Energy

About this ebook
A thought provoking read for those with an interest in what causes gravity and matter's close relationship with dark energy.
The book is written for the layman. There are no mathematics but some prior knowledge of physical principles will help provide a clearer understanding. It is more of a philosophical approach to some of science's unanswered questions.

Preface
What concerns me about writing a book about a developing scientific theory is that once it has gone to print, if I change my mind I cannot fix things. I'm hoping that the theory described in this book is now reasonably stable and there won't be any major U turns.
Another problem I have is that I have to use words some of which do not have clearly defined definitions and can infer slightly different meanings for different people. That is where a mathematic theory over a physical theory has an advantage, less prone to misinterpretation. That said, both types of theories start from a fundamental basis, an axiom or postulate, some concept that is generally accepted as a given truth. This starting point has to be rock solid otherwise what follows is obviously going to be somewhat flaky.
Yet another difficulty when trying to bring a new theory to market is to make it palatable. In other words, not to make it so extreme that the reader cries 'complete rubbish' after reading the first few paragraphs. It's also quite a challenge to deliver the text at a level that will be acceptable to both the layman and the expert.
Lastly, we are talking about a model from which we can predict events or the behaviour of natural forces that control our environment. Newton gave us a very satisfactory model for the mechanics of gravity that works brilliantly for bodies that are at rest with respect to each other. Einstein compiled another model which addresses some of the anomalies that were observed in the standard model and introduced the concept of space curvature and gravitational attraction between bodies that our moving relative to each other.
This book describes the physical mechanism by which matter creates this space curvature effect and how this in turn causes gravity.
I try to show how gravity is caused by an interaction between the physical universe and what could be referred to as the non-physical universe. By 'non-physical' I mean anything that is not made of matter and there are a few things that fall into that category and the principal one is energy, matter's close relation.
