    MyFitnessPal is the most well-known fitness app for macronutrient tracking. This is the app that I have used personally to consistently hit my target macronutrient numbers daily; this app has been a crucial tool leading into natural bodybuilding contests. MyFitnessPal did it right, so right that UnderArmour bought them a couple of years ago. Using MyFitnessPal you are able to document each day tracking your fat, carbs, protein and overall caloric intake. MyFitnessPal has changed a lot over the years; as an online fitness coach this app is my main tool to teach clients how to count their macro nutrient intake. I decided to write this book for my clients as well as anybody else out there looking to count macros, or just become more efficient and effective with MyFitnessPal.

    Chapter 1: Getting set up

    Entering Starting Stats

    There are a couple of ways to get started; enter everything manually, use email, or use Facebook. As with any other app using your Facebook to quick add all of your data makes things move a lot quicker and smoother in the sign up process. Just always make sure that you are not allowing the app to post on your behalf on Facebook. The only things you will need to enter from there is your activity level, current bodyweight, and weight loss goals. Ok, your profile is setup, now it’s time to configure it.
