    To start with, there is no gain saying that Schizophrenia is a chronic, relentless, and disabling brain disease. In fact, it can be defined as a disorder characterized by a range of cognitive and emotional dysfunctions. 

    Yes, as a matter of fact, this disorder basically involves instability in the content of thought, perceptions, language and communication skills along with fluency of thought and speech including interpersonal functioning.

The truth is that for such an individual, these thoughts may come and go easily and rapidly, such that the individual may not be able to focus on one thought for a very long time and invariably may be easily distracted. 

    As a result, the sensory overload usually causes a hallucination. And as the case may be, people who are born with it generally have irregular brain cell patterns. Let’s face it, drugs and stress do not cause schizophrenia as many may have assumed, but they can certainly exacerbate the symptoms. 

    In fact, in some cases, family members who understand very little can agitate the symptoms by using an accusing tone of voice or reacting angrily to the sufferer. Well, that should not be the case with you, as you are getting the right education now as per how to manage such conditions. 

    As a matter of fact, family members who know about schizophrenia can learn to recognize symptoms of an acute attack. These symptoms may include a change in personality, social withdrawal, and sleeplessness. 

    Besides, there are also other symptoms like displaying agitation, using words that do not make sense and seeing things that aren't there. It is important to create an environment that facilitates recovery anyhow.
