SAMPLE EXCERPT:
“What was the creation process like?”
After being piqued by his own self-confessed ignorance of nearly everything—biology, earth, science, chemistry, physics and astronomy, the ideas and their genesis, the “great moments”—Bryson attempted to seek the answers to his questions. For the next three years, he went exploring for people who have figured the answers for themselves (or at least, those who think they have). He visited vast libraries and also accompanied scientists at work to get a grip on a range of topics from subatomic particles to cosmology. His aim was to deliver reports on these subjects in a way that anyone can understand, to be able to make clear the evolution of, for example, continental drift, atomic structure, singularity, the extinction of the dinosaurs and more. The plan was to present all these in bite-size chapters without overwhelming one’s mind. (11)
He wanted a book that could make it possible to understand and appreciate, marvel and enjoy the wonder and accomplishments of science without being superficial, demanding or too technical. So he immersed himself in scientific literature, talked to working scientists and traveled to places where science is carried on—all these so he might know a little more about these matters and understand how these ingenious people figured it out.

A personal note from the editor…
What if…?
was the question that gave birth to Behind the Story Books.
When I pick up a book, from the first letter to the last, I am often completely enveloped in the novel - I’m laughing, rejoicing, fighting, and crying, side by side next to the characters. Even long after the book is finished, I found myself reminiscing
