Benefits of Coconut Oil
For many people out there, coconut oil is a well-regarded “superfood” that provides amazing benefits to those who consume it. It has been used for ages as a tool for skin care, hair care, digestion improvement, and even for dental care. It, in fact, contains a combination of good fatty acids that provide very positive effects to your health, such as fat loss, better brain function, better skin and many more. Such an impressive list of uses can only be expected from something that came out of what many people call as “the tree of life”.
Coconut oil has gotten a bad reputation in the past because it contains saturated fat. 
However, according to recent studies, saturated fat has been found to be harmless. Without getting too technical, let us break down how the “fats” in coconut oil are considered as the good kinds.

First, the saturated fatty acids in coconut oil are those that your body system can absorb well. The primary oil that does most of the work is lauric acid, which is said to be helpful in dealing with different viruses and diseases. 

Another fatty acid called Capric acid works as the team’s “muscle”. It secretes a strong antimicrobial agent called Monocaprin to help your body stand its ground against bad microbe infestation. The saturated fatty acid team is rounded up by Caprylic acid, Caproic acid and Myristic acid, all of which have various antimicrobial and antifungal properties that help prevent the fungal outbreaks we all get from time to time.
