- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another masterpiece by Forczyk. He is the best military history writer today.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5(+) The Book puts light on one of the lesser prominent, but still important battles.
(-) The Scribd version contains anti-German rhetoric, which exceeds the threshold of an professional writing.
(--) there is a pic of an disabled Tiger with burning engine bay. Here the author wrote that it was outmaneuvered and destroyed from the back side. No references or sources for support - this is repeaing the 'Prokhorovka Soviet Tank vs Tank Myth', which wasn't true for Prokhorovka and even less in the given photo. Giving advice from the armchair to actual commanders is also not an admirable deed; most likely: the Tiger was presumably in a counter-attack, hit by AT-ambush, left when the german attack stalled and forces retreated; Easily going on the road, as off road is a no-go during the mud season.
