About this ebook
When middle school puzzle master Sam and history wiz Martina win a contest for a summer trip across the US, they discover they've been drafted into something vastly more extraordinary. Joining another kid on the trip, Theo, a descendant of George Washington himself, they must follow clues to find seven keys left behind by the Founding Fathers. Together the keys unlock Benjamin Franklin's greatest invention--a secret weapon intended to defend the country. Each key is hidden in a unique location around the U.S., protected with puzzles, riddles, and traps. This has kept the weapon safe . . . until now! Gideon Arnold, a dangerous descendant of the infamous Benedict Arnold, is on the chase.
In competition with Arnold and his thugs to reach the artifacts first, Sam, Martina, Theo, and readers must use their wits to solve ingenious puzzles, escape death-by-booby-trap, and, by the end of the series, save our nation by uncovering many of its greatest secrets.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Think mash-up of National Treasure and Harry Potter. This is a fun read, with lots of early American historical facts thrown in. Not only will children enjoy the story, but they'll inevitably learn something as well! Who could ask for more? The Eureka Key is a hunt for an artifact linked to Benjamin Franklin that, when combined with other artifacts, leads to a terrible weapon. Readers become part of an adventure with danger and excitement at every turn. I, for one, can't wait for the next step in this tale!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I introduced my sister to this series after starting it a while back, as an ARC actually. I never finished it though, and since, she's been begging me to read them, as she's enjoyed all three, and I finally finished this one. About time! I really enjoyed this, and it has a National Treasure type feel with more of a 39 Clues type writing style and characters. I struggled, and the first half was still slow the second time around, but once the pieces started making sense, I couldn't wait to see what happened!
I'm really upset that the series was cancelled after book three. From this one, it seems that there were seven books planned, each about a different 'Founder' famous leaders in America's history that each held a key, and each book focused on a different Founder and their key. I'd have loved seeing more of this series, and really hope that it gets picked back up and finished in the near future!
