About this ebook

When tyranny becomes law, resistance becomes duty;

Billions panic and anarchy reigns as the world economy collapses. Global powers clash during the bloodiest world conflict in the history of mankind.
In spite of all the chaos erupting all around him, Jake Scribner merely wants to live a quiet, peaceful life. The U.S. Air Force veteran and dual American/Canadian citizen retires to the rugged wilderness and stunning landscapes of the Kamloops, B.C., area.
At this time, the former nations of the United States, Canada and Mexico have been merged into a North American superstate. Scribner’s dreams of spending his days fishing, hunting and eventually marrying his fiancé, Nicole Clare, an outspoken liberty activist and blogger, are shattered when a horde of North American Police units and United Nations troops invade Kamloops and place the city under martial law.
Although Scribner manages to evade the occupiers and flee into the nearby mountains, Nicole and her daughter, Arielle, are apprehended and imprisoned in a re-education facility along with hundreds of other city residents.
Driven by a burning desire to rescue Nicole and Arielle, the former air force combat controller joins forces with fellow fugitives Kevin Sorenson, a retired Canadian Army combat engineer, his arrogant, cocky nephew, Calvin, Neil Owlchild, a young aboriginal-Canadian skilled in wilderness survival, Sarah Jane Pearce, a law student, environmentalist, social justice warrior, modern-day hippy and pacifist who is reluctant to use violence and Mallory Hutchinson, a sweet, girl-next-door type who quickly turns into a deadly fighter.
The hastily-formed band of guerrillas keeps the occupying forces on their toes by a series of sniper attacks, roadside bombings and acts of sabotage.
Meanwhile, in Kamloops, a powerful resistance takes shape with the guidance of a former police officer. With the help of a young UN soldier and a renegade priest, the two groups of insurgents join forces to unleash what will be one final battle to retake Kamloops.
Scribner viciously fights his way through the legions of UN soldiers and North American Police troopers who are determined to maintain control of the city all the while praying that it isn’t too late to save the woman he loves.
