About this ebook

“A private investigator to investigate your husband Beth?” Kingston said, her mouth gaping open. “I thought you guys were getting along well! I remember when Christian’s mom hired that PI to investigate me when we first got married. I was devastated; it just it felt like such an invasion. So you better be very, very sure that you have a good reason for doing this; otherwise it could cost you your marriage.”
###

“Mrs. Escatore, Mrs. Grant, please come on in,” Detective Maycomb said. “Have a seat ladies,” he motioned to Beth and Kingston. “Can I get you anything to drink?”

“No nothing,” Beth said. “Detective Maycomb, I don’t mean to sound impatient, but the suspense is killing me. I’d really just like to know what you found out about my husband.”

“I understand,” he said. “I don’t mean to sound insensitive, but perhaps this is information you’d rather receive in private,” he said, indicating Kingston’s presence.

“Kingston is like a sister. I assure you, there’s nothing you can’t share with me that I won’t tell her anyway, so please proceed.”

“As you wish,” the detective said, knowing he’d done his due diligence to report what he’d found out to Beth, and only Beth – just as she had instructed when she’d hired him. “I’ve put all the details in this report.” He slid a folder across his desk to her. “Your husband … well let’s just say, he has an interesting past.”

Beth’s hands shook as she reached for the report. “So you were able to find out something concrete?”

“Yes. Very concrete. Everything in there is irrefutable ..."
###

Just a little longer … the report could wait just a little longer, she told herself as she pulled her husband’s jacket from his powerful shoulders and started to unbutton his shirt. “It’s been too long. Make love to me Zander.”

His passion heightened by her aggression, Zander picked his wife up and headed upstairs to their bedroom. He gently placed her on the bed, his eyes never leaving hers as he undressed.

Beth started to remove the thin, gauzy negligee she had on.

“Don’t,” he commanded, his blue eyes darkening in passion.

She obeyed his order, laying back against the pillows, the lushness of her breasts, hips and thighs beautifully translucent in the dim lighting of the room.

Zander stood before her, fully naked, his arousal causing her chest to heave up and down in anticipation. He took in the arc of her cheek, the fullness of her lips and the curve of her shoulder.

Beth reached for his shaft, slowly gliding her fingers over the glistening head as she beseeched him to join her on the bed. He was entranced by her beauty, and swallowing in anticipation of tasting her – all of her.

He pushed his pulsating rod against her thigh, the blood rushing through him as her was enveloped in the natural heat emanating from their bodies.

Her eyes were half slits, closing in anticipated bliss and lust as the hotness of his lips teased hers open. His gaze explored her heaving breasts, the smoothness of her stomach and her parting thighs, aching with the need of him.

Beth just hoped that Kingston's warning about hiring a private detective to look into her husband's past wasn't about to come true ... that what she found out about Zander wouldn’t mean the end of her marriage?

I've been a reader of romance novels since I was a pre-teen. I've read hundreds of them. "Everybody wants to be loved." This is the enduring theme of all romance novels. We all want to be loved and accepted for exactly who and what we are. And that's the beauty of love – it keeps the hope alive in each of us that there is someone out there, somewhere, who will love what is unique about us. This is what keeps me reading romance, after romance, after romance. Professional Background I've been a freelance writer – for businesses – since 1993. More about my businesses can be found below. A Romance Writer Is Born I wrote my first romance novel in 2013 (3 Weeks 'til Forever). I decided to give this type of writing a try because the title popped into my head one day and just wouldn't let go. After finishing up several more romances, I realize that I've finally found my calling. I love reading – and now writing and publishing – love stories. In 2014, I formed Inkwell Editorial Publishing to bring as many stories to readers like you as possible. I hope you enjoy reading these novels as much as I enjoy bringing them to you – whether they’re written by me, or by one of our ghost writers. My Businesses New Media Words (http://NewMediaWords.biz) is my online writing company. I also publish http://InkwellEditorial.com, the leading web portal for info on how to start a successful freelance writing career. I've self-published over 50 non-fiction ebooks, mostly on the business of freelance writing, self-publishing and internet marketing. My writing online writing courses can be found at http://InkwellEditorial.Teachable.com. My fiction titles (romance) can be found at http://InkwellEditorialPublishing.com.
