Rui is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) and a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association. Rui has studied kinesiology at York University and holds numerous fitness certifications through Can Fit Pro and the National Strength and Conditioning Association; in addition he is a certified C.H.E.K. Exercise Coach, certified C.H.E.K. Golf Biomechanic, certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. He has spent several years in the health and fitness industry training high level professional athletes and working with special populations. Rui has been involved in martial arts since 1998 and has competed both locally and internationally in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Rui has studied kinesiology at York University and holds numerous fitness certifications through Can Fit Pro and the National Strength and Conditioning Association; in addition he is a certified C.H.E.K. Exercise Coach, certified C.H.E.K. Golf Biomechanic, certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. Rui presents a unique integrated approach combining both exercise science and holistic Osteopathic manual therapy in order to help with patients overall health concerns.
