About this ebook
Stark’s lively, eye-opening book is full of insights that defy the conventional wisdom. He reveals:
• Why Islam is not overtaking Christianity
• 81 percent of people around the world claim to belong to an organized religious faith
• Half of the people around the world attended a worship service in the past week
• Despite all the attention paid to the “New Atheists,” atheists remain few, anywhere
• Latin America has never been so Catholic—and that’s because there are now so many Protestants there
• Of all the great world religions, only Buddhism may not be growing
As Stark shows, secularists have been predicting the imminent demise of religion for centuries. It is their unshakeable faith in secularization that may be the most “irrational” of all.

Reviews for The Triumph of Faith
5 ratings1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was one of the best I have ever read because it changed my whole outlook on religion. Far from being some low-fad activity reserved only for the poor and elderly, religion is booming around the world even in so-called secular America. Do you think technology and enlightenment is the cause of religious decline in Europe? Wrong! How about the idea that the Chinese and Japanese mostly lack a religion? Wrong again. Rodney Stark clarifies his views with objective data gained from the Gallup world polls and the World Values Surveys. Everything you thought you knew about religion decline is totally wrong. To those who are Christians: Read this if you want to feel inspired to spread the Christian message to all. There is great work being done in the kingdom.
