OMG!!! This was hysterically funny and suspenseful!

The "late" Mr Pargeter was a master criminal with a large and trustworthy group of companions, all who were "specialists" in their field...together there was nothing they could not accomplish!

In this delightful story, Mrs Pargeter has promised her friend Veronica Chastaigne (whose husband worked w/ Mr. Pargeter) that all those lovely "original" pieces of art would be returned to the "rightful" owners, much to the dismay of Veronica's snotty son Toby.

Mrs Pargeter calls upon her husband's former trusted friends to help her fulfill her "Point of Honor", but she has to deal with Toby, a rogue band of thieves, a bumbling copper trying to "make his mark" and an ambitious (intelligent) underling copper.

I use to think "Mrs Pargeter" was just another boring "fussy Nosy Parker" like Miss Marple, but not so. Here we have an intelligent, mischievous mind set on making past deeds "Right", even if it takes on a criminal flavor!

Certainly I intend on reading more of this series!
