Principles of effective conversion are explained with the use of irreversible thermodynamics and exergy. Advanced converters, catalysts, fuel cells, membranes, metalhydrides, refrigerators, M.H.D., solar cells, superconductivity and water decompositers are among the main subjects introduced.
