Stephanie Nelson's debut novel Craved was a unique and exhilarating read. Gwen Sparks is a independent and strong character that quench readers desire for kick ass and powerful heroine. The storyline offers a wide array of supernatural characters with a storyline so intense that get wrapped up into the story. Sidelined with a love triangle between Gwen, Adrian, and Micah romance addicts will find themselves fall prey to "just one more page" syndrome. As a debut novel I found this to be a fantastic read, and excellent beginning for this amazing series. I can not wait to see what book two will offer. With the intensity that book one concluded I look forward to the guarantee book two will be an absolute must read. Craved is a BOOKWHISPERER RECOMMENDED READ!!!~BookWhisperer Reviewer JO~

I've read a lot of these formula stories but there's something about Gwen Sparks that just beckons to me. First off, this girl needs a loyalty card from Victoria's Secret or something because for some reason, her underwear just keeps getting torn to pieces. Those sexy scenes are very steamy and removing panties just requires patience Gwen and Aiden doesn't have. Way to live vicariously through your characters SNelson! *clap* *clap*

I was hooked on this book from the second I picked it up. It's got all of best parts of a good supernatural book: romance, mystery, crime, and of course the paranormal. Main character Gwen Sparks tries to live a normal life, but nothing can ever be normal. Whether it's managing her magic shop or nearly getting beaned by a levitating soda can, things are definitely not normal for Gwen. Things only get worse when a fellow witch is found drained, which sets off a dangerous and exciting chain of events. Even though this is the first of a series, the vague mentions of things in the past made it feel like there was something I should have read beforehand. Luckily, it didn't deter me from reading. In fact, seeing how things would turn out in both her everyday life and her personal life definitely drew me in to this one. I will recommend this one to anyone who loves sexy supernatural stories who is over 18, since this is one hot read.

Description: Gwen Sparks is the typical girl next door - if you lived next door to a skilled witch who could read the thoughts of the dead and owned her own magic shop, that is. Her ex is a werewolf, and her new love interest is a vampire, and if that isn't enough excitement, local witches are being murdered, leading Gwen in search of a dangerous killer. Unfortunately, she must work with her ex, deal with a psychotic ghost, and try to keep her neck off the chopping block, while simultaneously trying to keep her life in check. Sometimes being a witch that everyone can count on can be a total bitch...Review: The first thing that pulled me in was the cover: the color and the mystery/allure behind her dark eyes spoke to me, "You want to know what I know," and I did. As soon as I started reading I realized that this urban fantasy was everything I liked about YA fiction but for a more mature audience. The characters, particularly Gwen and Aiden, are realistic and well-developed, and the dialogue/actions between them have a really good flow. I enjoyed getting to know them and was definitely a fan of their chemistry- especially in a few of the more mature passages. The plot wasn't the normal cookie-cutter paranormal romance and it held a few fast-paced surprises, including the ending. Stephanie Nelson definitely knows how to write a book that keeps the reader excited and entertained. Glad to read a book that didn't have the same "human + vampire/werewolf = undying love" theme. Overall, I can honestly say that I can't wait for the next book in the series; I hope it comes out soon!Rating: On the Run (4/5)*** I received this eBook from an affiliate of the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Another pleasantly surprising book. I never know what I'm going to get when I pick up a new book and it is always nice to get more then you were hoping for. Gwen is a down to earth gal who turns out to be a very powerful and rear kind of witch. She runs her very own magic store, shares her apartment with her best friend, is still getting over he ex werewolf boyfriend and even though she likes him keeps telling the sexy vampire determined to have her as his no. She offers to help solve the murders of witches and ends up becoming a target herself. There is a bit of a love triangle between Gwen, the ex boyfriend and the Vampire. There are some great and steamy romance scenes. The character development was great and I enjoyed getting to know the different characters. The plot was easy to follow and flowed at a nice pace. The ending UGGH cliffhanger...so painful to have to wait for more. Stephanie really put together a great read and Im glad I got my hands on a copy. Excited to see what comes next.
