About this ebook
Christian Zionism, or the unconditional support for everything Israel, is a movement passionately followed by about 30 million Americans. The author was one of them, but has come to believe after years of study that they are being deceived for political purposes and worse, that they are partly responsible for morally reprehensible acts contrary to Christianity. This book is heavily referenced so that others can check the research for themselves.
John Maynard Keynes said it well: “When I find new information I change my mind; What sir, do do you do with new information?”.

About the Author
Introduction
My mother taught me that it is wrong for the strong to hurt the weak and it is wrong to do nothing to stop it if you can. My father taught me that life is precious and to abhor cruelty in all forms. Jesus taught me that we are all equal before God, that children have great value and that I should treat others as I want to be treated. On this, he said, hangs all the law and the prophets.
This book is directed at my Christian brothers and sisters, most of whom, in this country at this time, are Christian Zionists, just as I was until about five years ago when I began to study history, and particularly the history of religious movements. We know that religious movements can go wrong with tragic consequences. But why do we believe what we say we believe? Where did we get our ideas? And is it not wise to re-examine those ideas from time to time?
Christian Zionism is a religious movement of fairly recent origin; it is not some foundational doctrine. It is a doctrine of men, fallible men. Can pastors and religious celebrities
be wrong? We know they can be. Are they wrong about Christian Zionism?
I am thankful for a pastor I had early on, who, when I asked why pastors disagreed on some issues, answered me honestly: We disagree because we are humans and so we are sometimes wrong. Chew up the cane and spit out the stalks.
What does that mean?
I asked. When you cut off a piece of sugar cane,
he said, You chew it up, swallow the sweet juice and spit out the stalks. Do the same thing with what pastors say. Chew up the cane and spit out the stalks.
That excellent advice combined with an enduring interest in how to stop hideous events like the Holocaust led me to study people in history-where did they get their ideas? What did they believe? How did any historical tragedy happen and is there anything we could do so that it never happens again?
At the base of most tragedies, you will find fear, hatred and racism, an aspect of tribalism that leads to death and suffering on an industrial scale. Racism announces its arrival when those in power begin to dehumanize a weaker group. The Jews before the Holocaust were rodents, parasites and vermin.
The Tutsi before the Rwandan genocide were cockroaches,
and recently a member of the Israeli Knesset said Palestinians are snakes and their children are little snakes and that all should be killed.
You see, we humans don't like the idea of killing other humans; but vermin, cockroaches and snakes-those should be eliminated. The nation should be cleansed
of such foulness. Ethnically cleansed.
My years of study have led me to be an Ex-Christian Zionist. I have chewed up the cane over a period of years; the cane is well-chewed. The juice
is that we like the idea of Jesus' return; the stalks are Zionism, a dangerous political idea: tribal supremacy backed up by brute force.
Tribal supremacy backed up by brute force is definitely opposed to everything Jesus ever said; it is definitely opposed to a Christian worldview. It is not an idea Christians can support emotionally, politically or financially without endangering their own soul. Read the information presented here and decide for yourself. In the end, we are responsible for our choices, not our pastor, Christian celebrities or best-selling authors. They have to answer
