50 Things to Know About Beating Sugar Addiction - Sophia Langley
Introduction
The profile of the standard modern day diet has evolved quite a bit in the last several decades in a way that is potentially dangerous to people who are not vigilant. With the advent of processed foods and the increased usage of sweeteners such as High Fructose Corn Syrup, people are eating more and more sugar in their diet.
It should come as no surprise that an estimated 70% of American adults are overweight or obese based on this increased consumption of sugar. The term Sugar Addiction
has become synonymous with this phenomenon, and for good reason. Once acclimated to daily high doses of sugar consumption, it can be a difficult cycle to break.
The link between Sugar Addiction and the following health conditions are only just starting to be understood:
- Type 2 Diabetes
- High Blood Pressure
- High Cholesterol
- Increased Risk for Gallstones and Kidney Stones
- Diminished Brain Function
- Obesity
It is obvious that cutting down on the consumption of sugar and ultimately breaking sugar addiction is a necessary and beneficial component in continued long term positive health. It is also obvious that you must not depend on the food industry or government regulations to start making healthy decisions for you.
This book is a list of 50 things to know about breaking sugar addiction. I hope that by reading this book you can cut down on and/or eliminate your daily consumption of sugar and improve your quality of life. The short term process of ridding your diet of sugar can be vexing but the long term health benefits are well worth it!

This not only affects adults, as many children are overweight because of the amount of sugar they consume on a regular basis. Being overweight causes harm to your organs, bone structure, and overall health. It also leads to emotional issues, such as low self-esteem and skewed body
