      Do you want to get out of the rat race? Want to do what you love and love what you do? Perhaps you already have a natural psychic ability, or maybe you just think it would be really neat to tell people’s fortunes. No matter what stage in life you find yourself, I’ll teach you how to start your own psychic business.

      Why be a professional psychic?

      At the time of this book’s publication, I’ll have been a professional psychic for over fifteen years, and I can honestly say that I think I have the best job in the world. I’ve also had the pleasure of trying out all of the many different ways of being a psychic, so I know just how flexible the business can be. Being a professional psychic is a skill based business that is portable and has no overhead costs.

      As a professional psychic, you can work part-time while continuing to keep your day job or take care of young children or elderly relatives at home. You can take the plunge and work full time, putting your heart and soul into building a business without the danger of investing too much into inventory or even office rental space. You can even choose to be a psychic as your retirement business. Nobody minds a psychic with grey hair, and you might even look at little bit more authentic. Your psychic business can give you extra spending money or help you pay the bills long into old age.

      Best of all, I think the psychic business is one of the most rewarding careers. Clients contact me years after a reading to tell me how happy they are with my help. They will confirm predictions I can’t even remember having made. I cannot tell you how many satisfied clients whom I empowered with love advice invited me to their weddings. One client even named a child after me. I’m pretty sure that most people in other lines of work don’t get this sort of awe inspired gratitude showered upon them on a daily basis.

      How to use this book

      This book is deliberately organized in a particular order, so try to read it from front to back before keeping it on hand to flip through as a reference. We begin with how to polish your talents as a psychic and make them shine to the degree worthy of a professional. Those who are new to psychic readings will be able to get started, and those who are experienced readers can learn about some value added services, along with tips, tricks, and advanced methodology.

      You’ll note that I placed the chapter on getting and keeping clientele before the one on setting up shop. I did this on purpose. Many people might fantasize about setting up their own special little shop space and opening the door to everyone, hoping that the universe will provide enough customers to make ends meet and build the business. But take my advice: don’t take that big of a risk with any business if you don’t have to. And in the psychic business, you simply don’t have to.

      It’s better to start by building a client base through one or more outlets for your skills and put in some hard work. Once you’ve established a solid business model and customer base, you can consider growing your business. Complementary businesses psychics often offer will also be explored, so you can have a diverse career platform when times are lean.

      I’d like us all to also look into the future of the psychic industry itself. Build the legacy of your business and set an example as a representative for psychics everywhere. They say that one should start planning for retirement the first day of working, and that is doubly so for psychics. With an eye to your destiny and that of all psychics, I’d like to be the first to invite you on a new career path. Welcome to the best job on the planet.

      Get started doing psychic readings for others

      Everyone has the ability to develop psychic abilities, but not everyone pursues such talents. Any skill takes time and practice to develop, so your first step in your career as a psychic should be to hone your psychic abilities. Even if you’re the best psychic in the world, you are still human, and there will always be room for improvement. The flipside of the coin is that there’s no room for perfectionism in most service industries. All you can hope to do is deliver excellent customer service and represent and bless people with your talents as best you can.

      Polish your skills

      Take an inventory of your current skills as a psychic. Maybe you already know some psychic reading techniques you learned from a book, a family member, or a teacher. Perhaps you’ve never performed an official psychic reading but you seem to have an intuitive sense about people and a keen awareness of how the future for some people is going to unfold. No matter how you want to perform psychic readings, there are a few key skills you’ll have to highlight as a professional psychic to succeed.
