    Big Samson: The Lion Escapes (Part 1) is about a lovable but aggressive lion who decides to leave London for Pakistan. In this new environment, because of his selfish behaviour, he immediately makes three deadly enemies – the lawyer, the butcher and the zookeeper - who all have legitimate grudges against Bubber Share. Separately and together, they make repeated attacks and plots against the lion. Big Samson's son and daughter (who suffer the typical problems of teenagers as they grow up) provide the second element of the story. Their problems are dealt with sympathetically, tactfully and with a touch of humour.
    The audience is 9 to 13-year-old boys/girls. The chapters are deliberately short and racy. Humour,action and surprise are the main elements that will add further interest for readers.

    I have an honours degree in Mathematics from the Open University and taught in Scotland before gaining an M.A. in English Literature. I taught English to O Level International GCSE Cambridge students for 14 years in Pakistan and was Head of Department there. My Haiku on Cultural Diversity is published in UNESCO’S Cultural Report 2000. My story of Big Samson The Big Lion (in a much shorter form) was accepted for publication by Oxford University Press, but never published for technical reasons. Currently, I have published about 12 e-books on the teaching of English, novels, short stories and poetry. My Spelling book was ranked number 1 in its category on Amazon.
