See ya, wouldn’t want to be ya! hollers the Joker as he runs across the rooftop of the Laffco Toy Factory. He straps himself into a turbo-powered jetpack while Batman sprints after him.

Once the hero is within reaching distance, the Joker activates his jetpack and launches himself into the air. FWOOOSH!

It’s been a blast, Batman! HA HA HA! cackles the Clown Prince of Crime.

Batman stops short and skids across the ledge. Below him is a two-hundred-foot drop. He narrows his eyes to focus on the fleeing foe.

The Joker waves his arms, sticks out his tongue, and blows a raspberry. FFBBBLT!

We’ll see who has the last laugh, Joker, Batman says to himself. Then he reaches into his Utility Belt.

Batman pulls out his grapnel gun. He takes aim and presses the trigger. The compressed air within shoots out a long Kevlar cable with a titanium hook at the end. The hook loops itself around the Joker’s foot, snaring him.

Batman leaps off the roof, using his weight to pull the villain down.

Hey! shouts the Joker. No free rides!

As the Dark Knight falls from the top of the factory, his cape billows out behind him like a hang glider. This decreases his speed, and he lands gently next to the Batmobile in the alley behind Laffco.

Your joyride is over, Joker, Batman says. He pulls hard on the cable, forcing the criminal clown out of the air.

Mayday! Mayday! screams the Joker. His jetpack is sputtering and coughing. Looks like I’m coming in for a crash landing!

    SMASH!

    Press here.

The Joker slams onto the hood of the Batmobile. He groans and goes limp.

Batman loads the unconscious prankster into the high-tech vehicle, strapping him into the passenger seat.

Soon, the Caped Crusader and his cargo are heading out of the city and up an isolated road to a foreboding building on a hilltop. The sign on the wrought iron gate reads ARKHAM ASYLUM. This sanitarium is home for the criminally insane, and where Gotham City’s most dangerous denizens of society come for rehabilitation.

Batman drags the Joker inside. Got room for one more? he says to Dr. Arkham.

Soon after, Batman heads back to the Batcave located discreetly beneath Wayne Manor, the residence of billionaire Bruce Wayne — Batman’s alter ego. Gotham City’s masked protector is also one of its richest and most upstanding citizens!

Once inside the cave, Batman exits the Batmobile and is greeted by Alfred Pennyworth, his loyal butler.
