    Joe " Spider" Bannion is a man haunted by his past. A man who seems caught in the twilight world between life and a world beyond. Spider is a man who is on intimate terms with death and he has trodden the dark path and rubbed shoulders with evil. His actions have condemned him to a lonely existence in the shadowy fringes of life. His only constant companions are his ex wife and his long suffering ex partner. They are the only ones he allows to become close to him. Then again he has little choice in that, as they are ghosts from his past. They are both dead as a direct result of his actions and they come and go in his world as they choose.
    From a glittering career as a police detective in Dublin to a lowly free lance private detective, working the sordid world of divorce cases in London. His escape from his violent past and his own actions have brought him to the bottom of the slippery slope.

    Patrick Moloney, B.Sc., H. Dip. Ed., (NUI, Dublin), M.Sc., D.C.E., (Trinity College, Dublin) is a retired educator with over 37 years experience in the delivery of a variety of Science and Computer courses of study in Pearse College of Further Education, Dublin, Ireland. Over many years, during his time in the college he also presented and chaired various Philosophical Discussion programmes. Because of his personal teaching and learning experiences he has the vision and the energy to empower and enable readers of this book to become much more optimistic and much more spiritually sure about the living out of life here on Planet Earth. Patrick, from Shanagolden in County Limerick, now lives, sometimes in Dublin, and as often as he can on the western seaboard of County Clare. There he spends his time reading, writing and walking. He especially loves visiting the beaches along the Atlantic coast.
