This book is excellent. It just seem like the author was writing into the dark and ran out of things to say. Maybe there's nothing else to say, except keep on writing.

I like the idea of a book about writing without an outline, and this was promising... but this book offers some *really* terrible and misguided advice, stating that further drafting after your first non-outlined draft isn't necessary because it ruins the creative process. So in other words, put out your first draft. This is utter rubbish and poor advice. Even famous authors who write without an outline do edits and revisions afterwards. A first draft is never good enough to be released as is. The tone of the book is also really odd. He frequently states that there's no "right way" of writing to try and be inclusive of every type of writer, then patronises anyone who doesn't do things in his way. He also puts down other professions (such as teachers and editors). This isn't worth reading if you're looking for actual useful writing advice.
