Informazioni sull'autore
Pam Flowers and her team ran the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, mushed to the Magnetic North Pole, and made a 2,500-mile trans-arctic expedition. Her account of that journey is chronicled in Alone Across the Arctic, and she is also the coauthor of the children’s book Big-Enough Anna: The Little Sled Dog Who Braved the Arctic. Pam shares her amazing inspirational stories in classrooms and auditoriums all over North America. She lives in Talkeetna, Alaska.

Ellie raced to the side of the puppy pen to see who was coming. When she saw Pam, Ellie reached up with her tiny front paws as if to say,
Pick me! Pick ME!
There were seven little puppies. All needed a home.
Ellie was black with a white blaze on her chest. When Ellie and Pam looked at each other, the puppy sat right down, lowered her head, and pulled her ears back, showing good dog manners.
