    Introduction

Why go gluten free? Well, for those with gluten intolerances and or allergies they have no choice. There are many who suffer from this. The side effects of a gluten intolerance and or allergy are pain and swelling in the abdomen, diarrhea and or constipation, anemia, arthritis, ADD, bone density loss, brittle nails, failure to thrive, depression and or anxiety, dry hair, dermatitis, diabetes, fatigue, flatulence, hair loss, headaches, hypoglycemia, infertility, lactose intolerance, mouth ulcers, oral issues, and or nutrient deficiency.

With that long list of symptoms to eating gluten, you can see why it is vital to someone suffering those horrible side effects to avoid consuming gluten completely. Consuming gluten can greatly aggravate people with celiac disease and irritable bowel syndrome. People with these issues absolutely must find alternatives to gluten in their diets. This Gluten Free Diet book has all the recipes as gluten free so if you suffer from any of the above health conditions you have found a safe haven in this book.

Other than the detrimental health conditions above is gluten free dieting for anyone? Some people wish to go gluten free regardless even if they are healthy otherwise. Some people wish to cleanse their body of all impurities and that includes gluten so they will go on a gluten free diet in order to make the total body cleanse complete. It is easier now at the grocery store to shop for gluten free products, since it seems the latest dieting trend focuses on gluten free foods.

Gluten free dieting is good for weight loss because gluten is found in wheat, which means it is a major component of processed wheat flours. White wheat flour makes up a lot of the junk foods today that cause us to gain weight. When going on a weight loss diet, one of the things we are told to avoid is junk food. Flours are carbohydrates and these turn into fat in the body if consumed in excess. Going on a gluten free diet means you will not be consuming these flours and therefore will be consuming less carbs. This helps considerably with weight loss.

Now you may want to know how you can make the most of the gluten free diet. There are things you can do to help the dieting along as you go. The goal here is to have a healthy body and a healthy body always starts with the nutrition we consume. But what if we have not consumed the right foods? This happens with many people. The body is remarkable though; it will take the food with high nutrition and will assimilate the nutrients and reverse the damage made by the junk foods. However, a junk food addiction is a tough one to overcome but not impossible.

Unless you have an allergy, intolerance, or celiac disease, you can benefit from weaning off the junk food over several weeks. Why not stop cold turkey? You can stop at once, but if you are accustomed to eating plenty of junk throughout the day your body will feel withdrawals from it. If you are dieting and these withdrawals hit you may feel like cheating. In fact, if people fall off the dieting band wagon it is normally because the addiction to the junk food is more powerful than their resolve to diet. Instead of fighting this, if you can, wean from the junk food over several weeks and that way you can pronounce your diet a success at the end.

Take at least three weeks to wean from the junk food so you will not have a relapse and stop the diet. All you have to do is replace one meal or snack of junk food with a healthy choice (look at the recipes in this book, there are plenty of snacks, appetizers, and desserts) every three to five days. Add another switch of replacing junk food for healthy food, and repeat until about three weeks, when you should be completely off all of the junk. This will help you to have a better chance at sticking to your diet and achieving the goals you set for your health and weight.

Let's discuss something else that helps to make dieting a success faster and makes you feel better too. Exercise is one of the best ways you can boost your metabolism, which will help you to reach your health goals. If you are diagnosed with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, or as overweight, one thing that most physicians will say is to diet and exercise first to see if you can bring your blood tests back to normal and help you to lose weight.

So if you add an exercise routine to your diet plans you will lose the weight faster and even if weight is not the issue, exercise helps you to feel better. Exercising helps the blood flow throughout the body. It helps to strengthen the muscles and bones and boosts the metabolism. Because the metabolism is raised you will have more energy to exercise more and to be more active during the day. If you do enough exercise, your body will start to burn off fat and calories. Your body will also release endorphins which is a substance that makes you feel good naturally. They refer to this as the runner's high but it can occur with any physical activity if you stick with it long enough. How much exercise do you need to make a difference? It really is not that much, just a half an hour every other day will be sufficient to bring about some real changes in the body.

Treat your body kind. If you are eating good nutrition through the gluten free diet and if you are exercising, also give it the rest it needs. Sufficient rest and relaxation will help the body to be strong and fit too. All things in moderation, so do not overdo exercise and do not sit around too much. Find a good balance.

    Section 1: Gluten Free Cookbook

Gluten Free diets are typically entered into by necessity, not by chance. That doesn't mean, however, that there are no real benefits to making the choice to go gluten free. In fact, for those who are considering a diet that may help to lower their cholesterol and make other positive, long-term health changes, going gluten free has some potential health benefits that may not have been considered.

Going gluten free has become a fairly popular new trend. You might even consider it to be one of those diet fads that hit the magazine and book shelves every few years. The difference is
