      I received this book from the LibraryThing Member Giveaway program in exchange for an honest review.In this day and age of digital communication, this guide is a useful reference for those who engage in instant messaging and/or texting. Although I am familiar with many of the abbreviations and emoticons mentioned, there were others that I had neither heard of nor seen before.Even for individuals who are old school and prefer communicating via landline and handwritten messages(which still have their charm, in my opinion), exposure to digital communication is inevitable and unavoidable. It would be beneficial for them to be somewhat knowledgeable of the jargon and symbols. Overall, I feel this will be a handy guide for everyone. Also, at the end of the guide, there is helpful and pertinent advice that should be,at least read, if not followed by all.
