- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brief but still very informative, this book delves into some of the underlying causes of depression and what can be done to help alleviate some of the problems associated with it. There were a few grammatical errors but not an overly big deal. The information is what I was more concerned with, and the author hit the nail on the head in a way that doesn't overwhelm the reader.

Feeling down from time to time is quite normal and something that we all have to cope with at some stage in our lives. However if the feelings of despair and emptiness continue for any length of time then you could actually be suffering from the condition known as depression.
People who suffer from depression will find it very difficult to function and even carry out the simplest of tasks can feel like they have a mountain to climb. As a result of this they find that they don’t enjoy what life has to offer them as they once did.
Not only do people find that neither friends nor hobbies are of interest to them anymore. Also they feel constantly tired even exhausted and just being able to get through each day can prove a real challenge for them.
If you are someone who is suffering from depression then you may feel that things are completely hopeless and nothing is ever going to change. However if you have the right kind of help and support things can actually get better although it may take time.
