I must admit I was reluctant about a single serving cake microwaved in a mug, and very doubtful that they would even taste good. How can something, a cake, that can be cooked in a few minutes be delicious?
Luckily, I was proven wrong. We tested, tasted and made a lot of cakes in a mug that Saturday. I think enough to feed a whole neighborhood. I had so much fun making them, especially because those cakes turned out so yummy, that I began my own adventure of mug cakes in the kitchen.
My kids, especially love doing the toppings of their favorite flavored desserts and sweets. The best part, my husband, the kids, and I included, can all satisfy our individual cravings by just tweaking and adding a different ingredient in the base recipe.
The verdict, we are more than happy and satisfied with these cakes in a mug, and with every mug cake adventure in the kitchen, the family has now more than a dozen recipes that we love to make and eat together, as well.
