About this ebook
Prehistoric monsters show up in the weirdest places!
Welcome to the world of Dinosaurs On My Street, where life goes on as normal except that... dinosaurs roam the city streets.
This colorful book about dinosaurs is for young readers. And what child doesn't enjoy dinosaurs? Each book uses amazing computer artwork to place the dinosaurs in a modern city environment of buildings, cars, trucks, fire engines, parks and construction sites. Dogs and people of all sizes and ages are in awe of the huge creatures. The dinosaur illustrations are accurate in relative size, shape and color. Readers get a real sense of how enormous dinosaurs were -- bigger than buildings with tails as long as a city block and jaws that could swallow a car in one gulp.
Simple descriptive text is in big clear letters for young readers. A pronunciation guide helps with the dinosaurs' tongue-twisting names and a picture compares each dinosaur's height with that of a child.
The colorful full-page drawings, however, are the main attraction. Thirty scenes of street settings with lots of action and people in the familiar activities of day-to-day life will engage all dinosaur fans.
Dinosaurs On My Street is a fun face-to-face meeting with the giants of prehistory as they overrun our city streets.
David West
Dave West would like to describe himself as sheik geek. Unfortunately no one else would describe him in that way. They would say he is a professional Englishman who likes to talk about software development best practices with the passion and energy of an evangelical preacher. Recently Dave has moved to Ivar Jacobson Consulting, where he runs the Americas and can combine his desire to talk about software development and spread the word on rugby and football, and argue that cricket is more exciting that baseball. Before running the Americas for Ivar Jacobson Consulting, Dave worked for a number of years at Rational Software (now a part of IBM). Dave held many positions at Rational and then IBM, including Product Manager for RUP where he introduced the idea of process plug-ins and agility to RUP. Dave still laments the days when he use to sit in a cube and write software in the city of London. This is where he believes he cut his teeth writing big insurance systems with nothing but a green screen and a process flow chart. Dave can be contacted at dwest@ivarjacobson.com, and if he is not with customers or drinking warm beer with his friends in Boston, he will email you back.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Dinosaurs On My Street is a story about how dinosaurs have appeared on the streets of a boys hometown. Each page talks about a different dinosaur and their attributes. There are 30 different dinosaurs discussed in this book and would be a great book for a child to read if they are interested in dinosaurs. This book was very informative and had great detail about the different types of dinosaurs. Each student could choose their favorite dinosaur and find a fact about that dinosaur that wasn't mentioned in the book.
