Our body gets its energy from food and the cycle for which the body processes food for fuel and nutrients is part of the metabolism process.
Metabolism:
Metabolism is actually a chain of small chemical reactions that takes place in the human body. It transforms our food into the fuel needed for us to survive and to accomplish our day to day tasks and activities from moving to thinking to growing.
Proteins in the body maintain the chemical reactions in the body, which controls our metabolism.
The body regulates the all of our natural functions and our Metabolism keeps cells active inside our bodies, which regulates our overall body weight (BMI), and can be a contributor to health risks like diabetes if you don't watch what you eat and drink and remain active.
