    There is no quick magic scoring key at the end that you can flip to first and see how compatible you are. The only scorecard is the mental one you create from the deeper understanding I hope this book helps you to have as a takeaway while you learn about more deeply about your chosen partner.

    Marriage later in life can have different challenges that come hand in hand with changes that may already be happening in careers that are ending soon. Perhaps full retirement is already a part of your days now with old demanding jobs replaced with fulfilling volunteer activities on your schedule.

    Maybe you mourned the loss of a spouse or partner after an illness for a time. Planning for you may take on a different importance in some areas related to health.

    Maybe you are now in a different place in life after a divorce long ago left you with children to raise who are now grown. You are free to put yourself first for a change and find love.

    You seek out different things in a mate and your perspectives and expectations have changed too.

    Most importantly, you are willing to try again with this person because of who they are to you and your age is no reason to hold you back.

    Understanding that love, no matter how much you seek after it, how powerfully it pulls your heart strings, how patient it is for the eighty-seventh time, is often not powerful enough to conquer nor overcome every emotional or relationship related issue. You may have already learned this lesson the hard way.

    Some relationships fail to be long term with or without marriage certificates. Hopeful promises were made and future dreams shared before they ended with promises that were unable to be kept or dreams never to be fully realized.

She also shifted her focus from corporate clients to an individual and small business clientele and she secured her series 6 & 63 securities representative licensing. Not satisfied that she had all the planning tools needed to advise clients to the best of her ability in changing economic climates, in the early 90’s she also took the necessary training and ongoing educational hours necessary to secure her ability as a tax professional.Amy's financial planning articles have appeared in numerous publications. She has accepted short term assignments for regular newspaper columns on specific items of public interest in addition to her private practice demands. She was selected to contribute two chapters to books that were collaborative efforts between multiple professionals.In addition to her writing and other business activities, Amy is a dynamic public speaker who is able to engage with her audiences by breaking down complex concepts into manageable ideas that are easily understood using custom designed presentations.Amy's planning expertise extends into situations that encompass corporate, individual and small business financial issues related to cash flow, debt structure, income tax reduction, charitable giving, business succession plans, mental or physical incapacity at any age, life insurance settlements for unwanted policies and overall estate planning.Amy and her family relocated from the Midwest to call the beautiful island of St. Croix their family home in early 2011.Amy continues to serve a wide range of clients on the U.S. mainland coast to coast as well as clients residing in the US Virgin Islands.She loves to travel and has a flair for art in her free time.
