Crochet with Love Knots - Jenny King
Introduction
LEARN TO CROCHET LOVER’S KNOT: AGELESS FASHIONS FOR WOMEN OF ALL AGES
Lover’s knot (LK)—also called Love knot or Solomon’s knot—is a beautiful and open, lacy stitch most commonly used in shawls and baby items and typically made with thread. This lacy stitch, when made with yarn, makes stylish fashions and works up much quicker than more solid crochet patterns.
While working on this book, it soon became apparent that these fashions could be worn by women of any generation with a little tweaking because, after all, looking great knows no age! We have styled most of the designs for different ages.
LET’S LEARN TO DO A LOVER’S KNOT!
Pull up a loop on the hook about ½ inch long (or designated length), hold the loop between the thumb and middle finger of the left hand (see Photo A).
Yarn over, keeping the 3rd strand the same length as the long loop (see Photo B),
pull through long loop, insert hook between the long loop and the 3rd strand (see Photo C).
Yarn over, pull through, leaving 2 loops on hook (see Photo D),
yarn over, pull through both loops on hook—1 Lover’s knot made (see Photo E).
