Excerpts from the book:

Today

"Today is a day
of change, old things
turn into new.

The true and
the faithful stand in awe
of a future glory.

Let the good be
honoured, let the brave
be evermore."

Pattern Recognition

"It is the
small things that
become the big things,
it is the big things, again,
that become the
small."

Chasing Hearts

"Chasing hearts,
seeking dreams.

The sea is deeper
than the streams.

This life is more
than what it seems.

You have the power,
you have the means."

Affinity Earth

"The animals,
the trees,
the very earth.

I love all these
with great mirth.

A natural affinity
given to me at birth.

This world,
and all, I consider
as great worth."

The Secret of the Wood

"In the fire,
in the flame,
the secret of the wood,
of the tree,
is revealed
in light and
in a blaze of
life-changing glory."

Sublime

"Time is sublime,
both in duty and in kind.

For it is known and
unknown, misunderstood
and defined.

It is wanted and
denied, forgotten and
remembered.

It is captured and
again lost, taken for granted
and most treasured.

Time is our guide
and our companion.

Conceived by the
Greatest Champion."

Editorial Reviews

If you are looking for well written, eloquent, and inspiring poetry, I highly recommend Thoughts Discovered: The Wonder of It All. The poems touch on varying themes from faith (such as "In the Morning" and "Night Sky") to nature, but the common thread of inspiration and wonder is present throughout. These are real and honest poems that everyone, no matter what their situation or walk of life, will be able to relate to (and that is the mark of true poetry, is it not?). Hopefully the author will continue to write and share his work.

The Wonder of It All (Thoughts Discovered - S. Tarr

    Preface

Wonder is all around us. Just look out of your window, at the mountains in the distance, look into your mirror, at the stars up in the sky. Wonder is the heartbeat of Creation. Without wonder and delight in beauty, life would be at a loss, life would not be at all.

This, the fourth volume of the Thoughts Discovered series, The Wonder of It All, is all about that, exploring the wonders of life and the joy that is found when witnessing and experiencing these wonders, heightened even further by the revelation of their mysteries.

What is Wonder you may ask? Wonder is when we see life from another perspective, other than the one created by the familiarity of routine, from a different vantage point to the norm of everyday life, and are taken in by the magnitude and brilliance of the moment, of the realisation and revelation of the infinite caught within it each breath, by the sheer beauty of it all.

Wonder is awakened by beauty. Beauty is what intrigues the mind and elevates the senses to respond in awe and worship. Our greatest pursuit should be the origin of wonder, our highest call to find love in both the big and the
