Chapter One: Introduction
Accidental Death of an Anarchist
by Dario Fo was first published on 10th December 1970. It was originally written in Italian language and the title was Morte accidentale di un anarchico.
The play was recognized internationally right after it was launched, with numerous positive reviews. The play brought a lot of admiration to the playwright.
Dario Fo was awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature in 1997. Accidental Death of an Anarchist
is considered to be a classic of 20th century theatre.

It was accused that Pinelli had bombed a bank, but after the court trial he was cleared of the charge. It was said that Pinelli had bombed the Piazza Fontana. However, later it was declared that he was not involved in the incident.
The play draws a large number of audiences whenever it is performed in any part of the world.
Chapter Two: Plot Overview
As the curtain is raised, the Maniac, a confirmed madman who suffers from acting mania, is introduced.
Bertozzo is a police officer. It transpires that the Maniac has recently impersonated a psychiatrist. The police officer interrogates the Maniac in this context.
The Maniac denies that he had impersonated the psychiatrist. Through his speech it becomes obvious that he possesses quick with.
After a while, Bertozzo leaves. The Maniac goes back to the empty room. He begins to look through Bertozzo’s files.
In the meantime, an inspector calls from the fourth floor. He is looking for Bertozzo. It transpires that a judge is going to visit the police
