About this ebook
My name is Mutant Man the cancer cell.
I was named Mutant Man by my enemies who feel that I am poisoning their bodies with my mutant cell. I know exactly how the Incredible Hulk feels when everyone runs away from him.
It is true that I like to kill normal cells.
That is because I still need nutrients to feed my ever multiplying cells who are mutant like me.
I was a normal cell who follows the rules of the body and helps the other cells to grow together.
My DNA was changed after my human host was infected by a virus.
It took 2 or more mutations before I became a cancer cell.
I was programmed to die once such mutation takes place.
But another mutation by another virus changed my mind.
The virus somehow changed the programming of my DNA.
I began to think like the virus.
I wanted to control all the cells and take over the body.
I started to divide to form more cells with abnormal duplicate DNA similar to mine.
Soon I have an army of my own.
I soon change my appearance to a more irregular shape which allows me to fight with normal cells easier.
I started to attack normal cells to take over their nutrients and proteins so that I can duplicate quickly.
I may not look as handsome as a Red Blood Cell or as charming as a Sperm with my irregular shape and crazy appearance but I have my army of mutant cells to help me.
I need to kill more cells to feed and increase my army of mutant cells so that we could take over the organs and body.
I told my army of mutant cells:
“Look out for the natural killer cells.
I heard that they are large and send toxic granules towards me and my fellow cells to poison and kill us.
There are two other cells the B and T cells who are now chasing after me and my army.
The B cells have an arsenal of antibodies which they can shot at me to kill me.
The T cells apparently can destroy me with small proteins called cytokines.
Then there is the macrophage the large cell which can engulf me and spit me out, DNA and all
I must avoid them.”
I need to build my own tumor site and fight them and then spread my empire.
This is a war.
I do not intend to lose.
Oh no. what is that ahead. It is like a large swelling with filters and lymphocytes all inside. I think they call it a lymph node.
“We are trapped. Can we fight our way out of this node thing?
Eat the lymphocytes my brothers, fight to the end.
We may still win.”
“Yes that is the way, run and fight. Kill them by engulfing them with your toxic chemicals.
We are doing a good job. We had broken through their attack and now they are desperately trying to defend.”
“Go and get out of this node.”
“Oh no there is another node ahead.
We will have to fight our way out of this node too
Fight, my brothers.
We will never extend our empire unless we can get to their organs so that we feed and spread.
Spray them with your toxic chemicals.”
“Yes we live to fight another day.
Look there are no nodes ahead.
We can enter their blood circulation and establish ourselves in one of their organs.”
“Here let us eat up some of their red blood cells.
Oh no there is a hole in the blood vessel and the red blood cells are running away from us.”
The bleeding has sent a signal to the brain to try and block us.
The brain suspects something is amiss and is calling on their brain cells to do something.
Someone outside the body is now feeling the area of the bleeding and the enlarged lymph nodes that we left behind.
This person is now heating us with a radiation beam.
“Oh no, all my brother cells are dying from the heat.
Everything is heating up around us.
I must get away and start anew my army of mutants.”
“What is this large cell that is surrounding me?
I think it is the natural killer cell.<
