About this ebook
My beliefs expressed in this book are based on my own experiences, my own research, and my own trial and error efforts to reach optimal health. Everyone is unique in their needs, and what works for one person may not work for another. My intention is to provide a general outline of a program that has worked for me and I hope it encourages everyone to take their own steps and do their own research to find what works for them. I have also included many references from experts in their respective fields. The primary advantage of this book is that it combines information and opinions of many health topics from diverse sources and puts them together in one easy to read format.

I would like give thanks and send love to my Chinese family, who have graciously introduced me to many Chinese herbs, including green Chinese vegetables and fungi (mushrooms) that, in my experience, are every bit as effective in regulating the needs of the body as any prescribed medication that I have ever taken.
Preface
There is so much conflicting health information that it becomes confusing to people when they begin their research to improve their own health. I have spent thousands of hours reading studies and reports, consulting with doctors and other healthcare workers, digging deep into the protocols of the studies and then trying the results myself to determine the efficacy of these recommendations. My beliefs are based on my own experiences, my own extensive research over many years, and my own trial and error efforts to reach optimal health. Everyone is unique in their needs, and what works for one person may not work for another. My intention is to provide a general outline of a program that has worked for me and I hope it encourages everyone to take their own steps and do their own research to find what works for them. This manual started out much longer, but upon review I thought it got too technical and in fact, boring, so I decided to condense it and simplify it. The primary advantage of this book is that it combines information and opinions on various health topics and puts them together in one easy to read format.

Chapter One
Moderation and Consistency
Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.
Mark Twain
I have found that in regards to attaining and maintaining health, moderation and consistency are key components to optimizing your health. Many people, who have allowed their bodies and their health to reach a point where they know they need to do something to rectify it, will embark on an extreme course of action in an attempt to correct it.
If they are overweight, they will try various methods to lose pounds, such as seeking out a ‘magic’ diet plan. Others will use exercise in the extreme form to achieve their goals. Many times, what you will see is people trying to undo years of unhealthy habits in a week or two. We all know that is
