    The Story of the Perfect Guesthouse

    Travelling in a gruesome bus for over ten hours, being tired as hell, smelling like a dirty pig and being hungrier than a cannibal, the first thing you want to do after arriving at your destination is to get to your guesthouse.

    You finally decided on a guesthouse after spending numerous hours on internet forums, reading guide books and talking with fellow travellers. Unfortunately, no local people are able to give you proper directions to this amazing place that you discovered.

    Wandering endlessly in a place that is stranger than the moon or Mars, you find no signs directing you to that fabled place, but hold on. By pure miracle you realize the house you passed three times has a sign. Written in faded letters are the words The Perfect Guesthouse. Victory! You found it! You’ve arrived!

    Hmm, nobody seems to be at home. After numerous screams and banging with brute force on the property gate, you are finally granted entrance into your dream palace!

    Needless to say, the only things you are looking forward to are your room, a shower, a fresh change of clean clothes and some dinner. Sometimes simple things can make a person very happy :).

    The owner at the desk is helpful enough to show you the room and then disappears somewhere. Who knows, maybe this is siesta time when everyone needs to take a nap?

    When the excitement of your arrival wears off, you begin looking at your magic room and you start to battle with the feeling that you are in the wrong place. The amazingly nice design you saw on the wall of the online photos is actually some cheesy wallpaper that is falling apart. There are tons of dirty smudges all over the walls that look like people had wiped their oily hands on it.
