In this book, there are 38 different poems over the struggles kids face in elementary school. These poems stuck out to me spoke to me, and really spoke to the kids in the poems. They did a really good job with the poems, and the pictures were very clear and I enjoyed looking at them. I liked how this book focused on the different struggles and situations students are faced with while attending school. After reading these poems, I would hope that the students learned how to be prepared and get things done on time. This would be a lesson I would teach my students in my classroom, and tell them how important it is to get things done and not wait until the last minute to work on something that they've know about all semester.

Teachers can use the poems in this book to inspire students to write their own poems about their school experience. These poems can also show students that they are not alone in the experiences they are facing.

This is a collection of poems is all about school and the problems that kids go through during the school years.This book would be entertaining not only for your begining readers but also for older readers too. The younger kids can sit and listen as the older ones can curl up and read it on their own.We could utilize this book in an number of ways. We could use it as a read aloud lesson with a group discussion, using this opportunity to talk about things that happen to all of us at some point and time. We could also incorporate this into an English lesson and use it as a guide in having the students write their own poetry using their own experiences as a focal point.

Filled with animated word pictures, the reader gets a sense of how teachers and students feel and interact in a humorous way. This book would be a great in a classroom or school library, as well as a great resource during poetry units in school.
