Herbal Cure for Diabetes

About this ebook
Most of the modern chronic diseases are not contagious diseases. They are not caused by bacteria or viruses. Based on my clinical experience with holistic herbal medicine, I strongly believe that the root causes of most of the modern chronic diseases are in nutritionally imbalanced diet, unhealthy lifestyle factors, lack of physical and breathing exercises, mental stress, and stressful physical and social environments in which one is living, working, and travelling. Correction of these factors and customized herbal medications can cure most of the modern chronic diseases including coronary artery disease. If they cannot be completely cured in case of some diseases, they can be managed to be within acceptable limits to permit normal life with pure herbal medications and without any side effects.

Preface
Diabetes is a very serious disease. It is of two types: (1) ‘insulin dependent diabetes mellitus’, also known as ‘diabetes mellitus type1’ and (2) ‘non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus’, also known as ‘diabetes mellitus type 2’. Ninety to 95% of the diabetics in the world suffer with diabetes type 2. Allopathic physicians and specialists say that diabetics can lead normal life with properly calibrated daily maintenance medicines. There are, however, estimates that the life expectation of diabetics is 5 to 10 years shorter than that of non-diabetics. In addition, even with daily maintenance medicines, diabetes can lead to very serious complications such as diabetic neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, erectile dysfunction, impotence, gangrene, amputations etc. The problem of diabetes is much more serious in India than in any other country. The number of diabetics is increasing in India in geometrical proportions. At the current rate of increase in the number of diabetics, India will have 184 million diabetics by the year 2030.
Before the discovery of insulin, diabetes was a feared disease that most certainly led to death. After 50 years of research on pancreas and the Islets of Langerhans by different scientists and physicians, insulin was discovered in 1922. By 1923 purified insulin was available to cater to the whole of the North-American market. Over the past 90 years there has been very little research in mainstream medicine on how to prevent or cure diabetes type 1 or type 2. But billions of dollars are being spent on research for maintenance medicines for diabetes. Allopathic medicine focused its research primarily on how to produce insulin from different sources, how to purify insulin, and how to administer insulin to patients. There has not been any research on how to prevent or cure diabetes type 1 or type 2. The latest research discovery is inhalable insulin as maintenance medicine for diabetes type 1 patients. Per dose inhalable insulin would require 3 times more insulin than injectable insulin and probably would be four times more expensive than injectable insulin.
Allopathic medicine believes that obesity, sedentary life, and genetic predisposition as the immediate causes of diabetes. It also believes that people develop diabetes type 2 usually after the age of 40 years. Empirical data, however, indicates that most of the new diabetes patients are not obese, sedentary, they do not have diabetic parents or grandparents, and a vast majority of the new diabetes type 2 patients are in the age group of 25 to 35 and not above the age of 40 years. If diabetes is essentially hereditary, the numbers of diabetics in the world cannot increase in geometrical proportions.
Imbalanced nutrition is a very wide spread problem among diabetics. Micro nutrients, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and enzymes are essential for the optimum functioning of endocrine as well as exocrine glands. Diabetics are more deficient in these than non-diabetics. As most foods eaten by most people now are stripped off of micronutrients, many are highly deficient in micro-nutrients. Most of them, in fact, almost all of the new diabetics,
