About this ebook
This will be the beginning of an adventure to the past for most of you. A lot of you will not remember what Moms' (and Grandmas') cooking was all about, because it was before microwaves and convection ovens, and all those new-fangled counter-top ovens that make your meat cook in ten minutes, and brown your cookies without your knowing it! This was how "they" did it, and we all survived, loved the food prepared for us (at least most of it!) and we ate very well. Although we think of that era as a simpler time, many would disagree.
These recipes are from the old school - no, not the 1800's! My Mom and her friends were not that old when these recipes were being used. Here you will find some easy recipes that we hope your family will love. They are simple and nutritious and can be made from the usual ingredients you have in your home. Not all recipes that we found in Granny's attic mentioned the oven temperature or the length time for cooking, so we have added what we believe would work for you.
We hope you will enjoy these recipes from "memory lane" as much as we enjoyed putting them together for you. Our Moms and Grandmothers would be pleased to know that we are still enjoying the product of their labors, so to speak.

Hello and thank you for visiting Smashwords and buying my ebooks. I love writing them and am happy that you enjoy them.. I live in British Columbia, Canada, and have to say it is truly a beautiful province - you need to visit to find out for yourself, of course. I love to golf, research things on the internet, write eBooks, cook and actually don't mind ironing. What's that, you say? Love to be outside and bbq when the weather permits. If you are trying to contact the author please use cbss at shaw dot ca as the emails shown in some of the books are no longer valid, and we apologize. If you have purchased one of my books, I would love for you to leave a review. And, if you wish to reach me at any time, please email me at cbss at shaw dot ca.Take care,Sincerely,Nikki Victoria

There were several recipes that we had to research - yes, on the 21st century internet! - what some of these items and terms really meant. Such as when one recipe suggested that we use 25 cents worth of glace cherries! Now, who knows how many cherries that would have bought when this particular recipe was written? We tried to leave the recipes word for word, as they were written, and made notes along the way at the bottom of some, as we progressed through this recipe book. You may need to make your own notes along the way, as your methods and references may be different than ours.
These recipes are from the old school - no, not
