Known as the black sheep of social interactions, lying is defined as a false statement made with the deliberate intent to deceive or mislead someone. This act is looked down upon by society and is culturally discouraged across the world. Even though it is frowned upon, for most people lying is a daily life event. It is one of the means people use to either attain pleasure or avoid pain. According to researchers, the average person lies to others more than twice a day.
In an ideal world the truth would dominate every facet of human life, but we live in the real world – a world where people lie. Liars take advantage of everyone - strong and weak alike. They try to make-up facts and deceive us so they can acquire what they want. Their lies may hurt innocent people, but liars do not care as long as they are not caught. This is unfair and goes against everything society teaches us.
