()
About this ebook
Universal Studios Orlando and its sister park, Islands of Adventure, was a fun part of our trip with our 10-year-old and 8-year-old. This book is for anyone planning a trip to these parks, but includes information that is helpful for parents visiting with their children.
In this book, you will get:
* a complete description of the rides & attractions in both parks, along with the best You Tube links of the rides and attractions. This way, you can determine ahead of time, which attractions and rides are most suited to you and your family.
* Tips that will make your visit to these parks go much more smoothly and prevent you from wasting time when there.
* FAQ such as:
* Is it worth getting a park hopper pass (aka 2-park access) to be able to go between both parks (Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure)?
* Should you get the Express Plus passes?
* How many days should you buy tickets for?
* Is it worth buying the Universal Meal Deal at Universal Studios and/or Islands of Adventure?
There are also a few photos of inside the parks, that you will find in this guide, just to give you a taste of what to expect.
Look for my other ebooks about other Florida attractions such as Seaworld, Gatorland, Kennedy Space Center, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, and Busch Gardens Tampa.

Guide to Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure
Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure was a fun place to visit. It was different from Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Seaworld, and Gatorland in that it was not animal-focused (which we loved at those other parks), but gave you a new perspective on movies and the technology that goes into making them.
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are two sister parks, separated by City Walk. City Walk connects the two parks, and is where you will find additional restaurants, stores, and entertainment (such as the Blue Man Group). Here is a link for more information on the Blue Man Group: http://www.blueman.com/tickets/orlando
You do not see a lot of babies and toddlers here, as many of the rides have certain height requirements (see below). If there are babies and toddlers, they are usually there with older siblings and parents.
We visited Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure for a total of three days. We were able to visit and do everything at least once in both parks in three days with an 8-year-old and 10-year-old in tow. They both met all the height requirements for the rides too. This was all completed without Express Passes. I will talk more about Express Passes more in the FAQ below.
I have not included one-day itineraries for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, because it will really depend on the ages of your children, their heights, and whether you have to avoid some rides because of a bad back, heart problems, or pregnancy. You should be able to get a good idea about which attractions are of
