Upscale restaurant dinner shifts are where waiters and waitresses earn the biggest tips. High quality and expensive food, an interesting wine list, and wealthy clients are a combination that results in the highest chance of earning big tips.
Once a server has secured such a desirable position, she must also learn the tricks of the trade so customers will choose to tip her well. Upselling and giving excellent service are just the beginning and, surprisingly, not as important as they may seem at first blush.
Chapter One: How to Get a Waitress Job in Fine Dining
Some restaurant workers start at the bottom, working in diners or chain restaurants as bussers, dishwashers or servers. They work for years climbing
