Caligulove
She couldn’t open her eyes, which was the first reason why she began to panic. Her mouth felt like it was sewn shut. Her throat was dry. She tried to swallow, a difficult task altogether. Her saliva moved like a lump of desiccated coal trying to slide down her esophagus. For just a second, she wondered if she would choke on her own spit and die before she ever discovered her situation. She coughed to clear her throat and inhaled the overwhelming stench of gasoline. Her eyes seemed to be burning in agony, tears were swelling at the corners, but would dry up as the strength gas fumes increased. Her chest hurt with every shallow breath she took. It felt as if she had been marred all over her back and stomach. Her midsection felt like it was made of only a gelatin version of her intestines. She coughed again, and tried to double over to suppress the pain. This is when she realized that she couldn’t move her arms.
Fear began to creep into the back of her mind when she couldn’t remember where she was, where she had been, or why her hands and feet seemed to be bound together. The night was a blur of cold air and ragged breathing. She tried harder to open her eyes. They were open, she realized. Her eyes were cloaked in a rag. The rag was what reeked of gasoline. She felt the hair beginning to heighten on her skin. A cold sweat began to cling to her lower back. Her heart was thumping against her rib cage and suddenly her breathing began to accelerate. What the hell was going on?
Okay, she thought. Obviously, she had been taken, but by whom and why? She wondered why anyone would want her. Maybe the abducter wanted money? But she was far from wealthy, and she prayed to God that all that was happening was just a huge misunderstanding. She tried to listen to her surroundings and
