      When I looked out my bathroom window,

      I saw a Marina moon.

      It was almost round like her face,

      but it didn’t have as many freckles.

      It made the sky glow like Marina’s smile

      lights up the space she occupies.

      I could imagine Marina’s smile as I marveled

      at the face the moon made.

      You see, Marina is defined to me by the smile

      I remember when she first appeared

      in the door to my office.

      It’s a big smile defined by her gracious lips

      and eyes that slant when she’s happy.

      If you ever see that smile, you will probably think

      of the moon like I do when it’s full and glowy.

      Then, you will know what I mean

      by a Marina moon.
