About this ebook
Inspired by the Firefly episode "Bushwhacked", this puts a fictional space crew upon a derelict space ship set in the universe of my 2-4 Cavalry series past Book 5: Eagle Hammer. It's a simple short story that I am using to try and broaden the scope of that universe.

This is a new universe I’m working on, and this is actually an expansion from it, rather than a totally new series. But depending on what people think I may go from there and see how things work out. Not sure what an official name would be but it has been bounced around. I hope you enjoy my work, as it was off the cuff by design. This is also based off of Bushwacked
from the Firefly series. And since I’m not completed with it, this happens during Eagle Hammer during some point. And this is not Firefly Fan Fiction, just using the basis of that show for this story with some different twists.
Much thanks to ELF (wksworld@msn.com) for much needed grammar revision…
When you’re hauling goods for a government across deep space, there isn’t much to do, so what the crew of the Infinity decided to do was play a little game of hubball. Which is played when they take an old hub they found, hang it on a chain, and throw a ball into it, allowing a point to be won. When twenty points are accumulated, that side naturally wins. Some of the marines were participating while some just watched, glad for the distraction from an otherwise boring journey. The fact that there were munitions, and some vehicles damaged beyond repair didn’t bother them, though the fact that pirates operated in this sector was a concern. And while the Infinity was FTL capable, components had been removed for further study given the predicament which brought them here in the first place. So for now they were stuck traveling in normal space until either their equipment got fixed, or he earned enough money so that he could worry about fixing the FTL itself which would be very nice right
