      Interesting

      This was the first book I had read by this author and I really enjoyed it, very different from anything I have read lately I just fancied something a trifle dark while still having an emotional element to it, this ticked all the boxes loved all the different characters Vivian, Gabe, Lindsay and Anton and loved the ending really great read.. looking forward too reading broken dolls and finding out more about Brian next.

      well written, a good balance of sex and plot, and just enough twists to not make the ending totally predictable. I was annoyed in the beginning by Vivian's stubborn mindset, that she didn't think her husband loved her, and thought she was pretty obtuse and punished herself by being so mean to him. Would like to see a sequel.

      My highest regard to Ms. Thomas for writing this without even the attempt to add BDSM into the equation. "Guilty Pleasures" is a straight dub-con erotic romance, for here we even get a fitting variety of HEA for once, whose main theme is relinquishment of sexual control and striving for sensuality.

      Like a few other readers I guessed the punchline early on, but didn't mind at all. I enjoyed reading about Vivian's slow journey towards letting herself go with her own sensuality and sexual needs, and was amused ahead of her knowing who would eventually buy her.

      The romance and the plot were quite satisfying. However, this book did not work as erotica for me. I was unable to identify with Vivian and very few of the sexual practices described are what I consider my "buttons". I was intrigued with Vivian's initial frigidity/negative response to sex and would have liked to read more about this particular part.

      Not Ms. Thomas' best book (my personal favourite is Comfort Food), but definitely a worthwhile read!
