About this ebook

There is great variation in the ability of people to cope with changes in their lives. If you can learn to accept change as an inevitable, natural and normal part of life, and of being alive, then the happier you will be. This book looks at the different types of change you experience in life and helps to identify how you feel about change and how you can become more happy and accepting of it.

I live in Aveyron, France, with my husband Tom. We have lived here since October 2012 and have created our own home from a very old building that once had pigs living on the ground floor! Our aim is to live a simple, but comfortable life. This is partly because it is the way we enjoy living but also to provide an example of a different way of living that is hopefully a positive one! I am passionate about the environment and very concerned about the harm that we are causing to our planet. I believe that we are at a point in history where we have the opportunity to make a positive difference to the future of the world and feel optimistic that it is possible for this to happen if enough people want it to. I am also concerned about the effect that modern living and expectations has on people's happiness and their ability to be creative and to fully participate in life, therefore one of the things that motivates me to write is to try and improve the planet and the lives of those who live on it. I co-created 'The One Course' - helping people to 'Love life and find their purpose', with my husband Tom. We can tailor the delivery of this course to suit different people, situations and environments and I am currently working on a One Course book to enable the material to be accessible to people living in situations which make it difficult or impossible for them to take part in a conventional style course. Everything Changes

"If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies." - Author unknown

"Everything changes. Go with the flow. Let go. Nothing stays the same. Change is good for you. Variety is the spice of life."

These and many other phrases like them are often to be heard in daily language, but when it comes down to it how many of us really accept what they say? We know that everything changes, but often try very hard to stop things
